I am an Irish journalist who writes about feminism, current affairs, women’s health, fashion, the arts, politics and pop culture.
I have written for Vogue, The Guardian, Elle, The Irish Times, The London Evening Standard, New York Magazine’s The Strategist, The Pool, Refinery29, Red, Stylist, The Gloss and Grazia. I have appeared on BBC, LBC and NewsTalk radio, discussing the arts, celebrity, gender and current affairs. I have been interviewed and featured on several podcasts, including the The Guilty Feminist and The Irish Times Women’s Podcast.
My first book, Vagina: A Re-Education, was published by Allen & Unwin in 2019.
I am an experienced panellist and panel chair (The Hay Festival, The Norfolk & Norwich Festival) and I love interviewing people – for print, for Facebook Live or video, or at real-life events. I have interviewed Zadie Smith, Meryl Streep, Marina Abramovic, Helen Mirren and many others.
I have been acting digital director of Grazia and, before that, I was head of news and content at The Pool (RIP) for almost four years. I am a contributing editor at Grazia and I write a Substack about parenting called How‘s Everyone Doing?.
